PROJECT ACRONYM: RES2FIRE

PROGRAMME PRIORITY: Supporting a greener and climate resilient Adriatic – Ionian region

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE:

SO 2.1: Enhancing resilience to climate change, natural and man-made disasters in the Adriatic – Ionian region

INTERREG FUNDS: 1.027.414,27 eur

The RES2FIRE overall objective is to harmonise and transfer models and tools for climate change adaptation by increasing resilience to forest fires. This addresses the need for spatial planners, forest managers and decision makers in the IPA ADRION region to adopt a more effective knowledge framework for prevention and preparedness aimed at reducing the risk of forest fires. The expected change will be an improved institutional capacity to reduce the spread and severity of forest fires especially in the IPA countries.
